Added (1). They are changing the SRS module. They said sometimes that the vehicle could have already had a bad sensor on it and the SRS light will come on when a new SRS unit is installed, and, if parts are needed, is billable. I don't feel that is right, especially when I have not had an SRS light on before. Looking for what rights do I have under the circumstances.
If the car was bought new and still under warranty they can't charge you. If bought used and you bought a warranty from the dealer then they will charge you if that part is not covered under that warranty. What parts are covered should be in the warranty paperwork
After having a lengthy conversation with the Service Manager, It ends up that the Honda dealer will not bill out anything for complications of replacing anything in the Airbag /Passive restraint unless there was evidence that the vehicle owner tampered with some of the components. Honda, and many other manufacturers that used the Takata Airbag system is now under federal obligation to change found defective components FREE, NO CHARGE.
- My car ac went out. I took it to the dealer and they told me it was the ac cmpressor relay and ac clutch relay. A few weeks later my air is? Coming out very hot i take it back to the dealer and the diagnostic is ac clutch and coils need replacing. I'm juat trying to know if this is the same thing ac clutch and ac clutch relay. I just don't want to pay for the same things. I have a 2011 honda pilot any help appreciated
- I want a new Honda CR-V but only if dealer agrees to paint it in color I want for free. Will they agree to it? I want a new Honda CR-V in my favorite color: Sapphire Metallic which is available on Honda Pilot but not on CR-V for whatever reason. But this is the only color I want. So will dealer agree to do it?
- Is it true what they say about CVT transmissions? They say that CVT is noisy, unreliable, expensive to fix and just plain weird like slipping feeling and no shift points. I'm thinking about buying a Honda CR-V or Nissan Murano both equipped with CVT but probably wouldn't if above are true.
