95 Honda Del Sol instrument cluster lights not working?

A few days ago, my cluster lights and climate control lights went out. I did some research and found a few problems it could be. I did a test jumping the dash light pin with the ground pin on the plug in the back of the panel and both the instrument and climate control lights came back on. What would the problem be then? I heard it could be the dimmer switch but i'm not sure. Also i replaced my instrument cluster with LED lights if that would affect anything. I know a few have blew out before i had problems and i replaced them but i just want to be sure the LEDs are not causing any problems in the circuit.

I installed a aftermarket deck in my 98 civic EX. After the install my cluster went out, the problem was some module blew or some BS, due to the after market deck. What I had to do was take the dimmer switch out and jump the black wire to the red wire with a paperclip and now my dash lights work! Amazing, Try it and see if it works for you. Not sure if it'll work in a Del Sol, but it might.

Look in the fuse box.
