1990 honda accord right brake light not working?

We have a 1990 honda accord and all tail lights work EXCEPT the right brake light. We already tried replacing the bulb and its still NOT WORKING! Does anyone have advice on what the problem might be or how to fix it? It would be much appreciated.

A good thing to do would be to examine the wiring going into the plug which would plug into the rear light cluster. Also look. For burnt wires and bulges in the wiring. Most likely cause is a wire over heating and melting.

Then its probably a bad socket

Examine the socket. Buy a five dollar test light check for power if you don't have power and the brake light is a single filment bulb by itself, you can run a wire and piggyback off the left

I don't have a scanning tool so i try using the jump wire and all i get is one flash every 4 seconds Its a one second flash then it flashes again after 4 seconds have passed.
