2001 honda accord factory ac?
My wife turns the ac on and off at every stop trying to protect the engine from wear and over heating is it necessary to do so? She turns it off when not moving then turns it back on as we start going again.
Haha typical stupid woman… Tell her to get a grip.
Hi that could lead to a disaster with the air conditioning pump so tell ask hurt if she is going to pay for it when she has busted it.
No, no, no, no, no! H E double hockey sticks, no! All she's doing is wearing out the parts faster. The a/c unit is perfectly capable of turning itself on and off when needed. Just because the little green light on the button is on, doesn't mean the compressor is on, it just means the system is ready. If you pay attention, you can hear it kicking into "gear" repeatedly. Leave it the heck alone.
- Why does my fuse keep blowing in my cigarette lighter when it exceeds the factory specs? I bought a Satechi sound-fly AUX FM modulator, which plugs into my cigarette lighter. It includes a 500mA fuse and a replacement. Both of these blew out. I tried a 2 Amp and a 5 Amp. They blew out as well. I drive a 2003 Honda CR-V, and the lighter is 12V.
- Installing a powered subwoofer in a 2011 Honda civic, factory HU? I'm installing a Sound Ordnance B-8PTD into my Honda's factory Head Unit. I was told that I will not require a speaker level converter since I do not have a built in powered amp. Which wires will I need to tap into? I can't for the love of me find any info on an instillation without rca input/output and I would rather just man up and do this myself (rather than spend extra cash)
- Are the Honda Civic factory air filter housing boxes interchangable between model years? I have the air cleaner box/enclosurement/housing from a 2005 Honda Civic VP Sedan. I now have a 1995 Honda Civic Coupe, is there any way this could fit or function in the 95 honda for smog reasons? Even if it looks ridiculous and barely fits, is it an interchangable part that can function in a modeL from 10 years prior?
- Why do older Hondas rarely have factory stereos? Whenever I see Hondas for sale online (mostly pre 2000 Accords and Civics), about 75% of them have aftermarket stereos. I thought Honda was well-known for having decent factory stereos, so I don't understand why the stereos are replaced. Is it for parts? Are the stereos bad after all?
