Are the Honda Civic factory air filter housing boxes interchangable between model years?
I have the air cleaner box/enclosurement/housing from a 2005 Honda Civic VP Sedan. I now have a 1995 Honda Civic Coupe, is there any way this could fit or function in the 95 honda for smog reasons? Even if it looks ridiculous and barely fits, is it an interchangable part that can function in a modeL from 10 years prior?
Haha. No. Perhaps within the same generation of Civic (i.e., 1996 - 2000) but certainly not at least three generations and ten years apart, no.
- I have a 2015 Honda rancher that had a crack in the air box. It got so much dirt through the air filter it got into my piston. So it now Burns oil and I was wonder will it ever stop smoking. I know I have to rebuild the engin so don't even say it. And how long will it take before it losses power.
- I have a 1980 honda cb650 custom, are air filter pods a good idea? I was thinking of taking out the air box and filter and putting on individual filter pods on the carbs what are the pros and cons of this and what pods do i need particularly for a 1980 honda cb650 custom? Links would be helpful
- Lost right front headlight and housing in recent accident for a 2004 Honda Civic. All bulbs intact? Complete housing destroyed including reflector. How much will it cost me to have it replaced at a body shop.
- Is it safe to put a K&N air filter in a 2012 Honda Civic? I understand the new Honda Civics have a lot of technology in them and I wanted to know if a filter like that would interfere with the computers or the performance of the car. This is regular Civic, not an Si.
