2002 honda accord 4 cylinder automatic won't go into gear?
I left it in D4 last night on accident and didn't put it in park. It will turn over and turn on but won't go into gear its like its stuck in neutral. It will go into the different gears but it won't go anywhere out of my driveway. Any advice? Where to start? I put some bars stop slip in it but it didn't help.Haven't had any problems prior to this.
Either your transmission is toast or the linkage broke. You should hope for the latter.
Thank you dave
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
- Will starter from an automatic 2000 Honda civic LX fit on a automatic 2000 Honda civic HX? The lx is a 5 gear transmission and the hx is a CVT transmission. With the starter fit? Mine went out on my hx
- 97 Honda Civic, new clutch and pressure plate but won't come out of gear and clutch pedal won't release? The clutch feels backwards now, won't switch gears unless the car is off and the pedal is all the way up. When you start it in gear it will not come out of said gear unless you turn the car off. The clutch pedal will get stuck down and the car will roll in whatever gear you put it in, when putting the clutch pedal down is supposed to release the clutch… It does not
- 4 cylinder vs 6 cylinder vs 8 cylinder vs 10 cylinder? Which is better to get? On small sized cars such as Honda Civic, Mitsubishi Lancer and Toyota Corolla you're stuck with 4 cylinder, since 6-cylinder is not available as the option What if I get v8 or v10 vehicles… Is there any problems?
