Can i make my exhaust louder only in sports mode?
I have a 2014 Honda accord coupe ex, it has paddle shifters and sports mode. Is there a way to make the car louder only in sports mode?
Added (1). i'm looking into exhaust cutouts, but can i install them on a leased car?
You could get exhaust cut outs
Sport mode in a regular car only affects the gearbox shift points. In some entry level luxury cars it also gives a better throttle response but the exhaust stays the same.
on high end sports cars sport mode sometimes opens up valves in the exhaust to make more noise. In some specialty cars sport mode also changes the way the suspension handles bumps by changing the damping settings.
if you seriously want something like this done you will need to have a custom part designed so that a hole in the exhaust after the catalytic converter and before the muffler is plugged up or unplugged depending on the position of a switch in the cabin.
my boss is a mechanical engineer who often does custom work and according to him something like this might cost over $500 to get designed let alone the parts.
ultimately, if you want more noise, use the paddle shifters to hold onto gears longer and the car will make more noise like that.
Buy a vette, they have it installed. And you get to 0-60 in under 4 seconds
I think it would happen for both modes
- Prius: Can someone explain the power usage meter & specific difference between power mode and Eco mode? My brother just got me a Prius to replace my old beater Honda and I'm having difficulty understanding the power usage meter (meter on dash with "Charge-Eco-Power") and the difference in the Eco & Power modes. I do understand the charge bit on the meter.
- Punctured tire replacement - can I replace only 1 tire - is it safe to replace the PUNCTURED tire only? My 2005 Honda Pilot rear left tire was punctured near the threshhold (ie - sidewall), but still usable. Thus the tire dealer patched it only. Should I replace that punctured tire only? Or should I replace the 2 tires on the same axle? Or even buy a whole set of 4 tires? I'm concerned about safety, and thus your best advice is very appreciated.
- Make an automatic motorcycle louder? I'm interested in motorcycles and I have been looking at the Honda NM4. My main concern is how quiet it is, If I'm on the road I want to be as noticeable as possible to avoid any accidents, so is there anyway to make it louder?
- Would a 4 Cylinder Car in Sport Mode be able to accelerate faster than a V6 car in ECO mode? Take the Honda CRV Turbo at 190 horse power 4 cylinder in Sport Mode vs the Oddysey with 285 Horsepower on ECO with a V6.
