Can you use 10w-40 on a honda 97 accord? - 1
Not if the oil filler cap or owners manual says 5w20w or 5w30w.
It won't hurt any thing i have been doing it for years because my car burns a little and with thicker oil it burns less.
Unless the car is already burning oil use exactly what Honda recommends. Why would you use a weight they do not recommend. That makes no sense at all.
Depends how many miles the Honda has. If its well over 100000 miles then itll probably need that type of oil.
Honda recommend 10w 40. Semi synthetic oil good quality of course. Is a safe bet.
Honda recommends 5W-30 but allows 5W-20. 10W-40 was used a lot in the 1960s but is not right now.
Sure, "u" (LOL) "can", but it would cause engine damage. Why on Earth would you deliberately use the wrong oil?
- What would you do if a lady around 30-37 told you that you were useless and would never amount to anything? She's a well dressed white lady with a brand new Honda SUV and she has a daughter that looks about 12 that is also well dressed and the girl is being rude and both are being very rude to the guy at the counter at Subway. Would it be wrong to curse out the old witch who tried to start a fight and cursed out the subway worker and you?
- If in the owners manual it says I should use 5W-20 motor oil, can I use 10W-40 motor oil instead? I have a 2009 Honda Fit. I just recently bought 10W-40 and when I got home to put oil in the manual said 5W-20. What's the difference? And is it okay if I still use the 10W-40?
- Did you know that Philippines is so poor that if you own a car people will think you're rich? I live in the Philippines and I own a 2013 Honda Fit and I sometimes drive it when I go to the University, it's not even expensive. And my friends think I'm rich. Most people here only use underbone motorcycles for transportation, most families don't even own a car.
- Can you use a motor boat battery for a car? Can you use a motor boat battery for a car since, those are twice as cheap for a smaller car like honda civic, as far as I know the car gets all its energy when running from alternator.
