Car won't go into any gear when engine is on?

I have an 04 Honda accord 5 speed with 75K miles. Recently was giving me some shifting issues. It started giving me problems going into gears and would take a couple tries. Then one day it would not go into any gear at all, would take maybe 5 minutes to shift into a gear and would probably hear a slight grind. So this shop tell me its my "hydrolics" and that they replaced them and the cars working. I know the "hydrolics" consists of master and slave cylinder but i'm not sure what else. So about 2 weeks after i'm driving then i push the clutch down just to hear a bang and see the peddle on the floor. So i take it to another shop and i get the clutch replaced with an exedy oem kit and my short shifter installed, also the master cylinder the previous shop put it had already went bad so I replaced that as well. So the work is done and i'm driving the car, i put about 700 miles on the new clutch and everything else. Then i go to my car this morning and it won't go into any gear again! Any suggestions?!

Get it checked out at a manufacturer

Low tire pressure

Call the shop that did the work a second time. They should make it right if it is the hydraulic system.

Go back to the shop that did the work. It's under warranty for 12,000 miles or 12 months.

Bad problem with clutch mechanism. It might have a leak in the master or slave cylinder.

It sounds like your clutch is not disengaging. If you have a hydraulic master-slave cylinder clutch actuating system, then there's a problem in either the master cylinder or the slave cylinder. Is fluid leaking? Is fluid missing from the clutch master cylinder reservoir?

Sometimes mechanics don't bleed the air out properly.

It wasn't your clutch. It was your clutch "linkage" (the hydraulic master-slave cylinders).

Bring it back to the second mechanic.

Put the car in gear and start it. Expect the car to start moving immediately when the engine is running. I can drive a car with a stuck clutch, because I understand it. You might have a problem and hit something. Have them tow the car back to their shop.

You need a clutch pressure plate.

Hi so my guess is simple some stupid mechanic only replaced the clutch and clutch cover. Did not replace the thrust race so now it has fallen apart inside the bell housing. So now it all has to come apart again to be replaced. So now you have all the labour charges all over again to replace the thrust race. So whilst it is apart replace the clutch plate and cover as well as they cost nothing when compared to the labour charges.

Take it to a mechanic
