Changing fuel filter 1996 honda accord v6?
I have a 1996 Honda Accord v6… My gas mileage has progressively been getting worse over the past month or but I have had my O2 sensors replaced, my air filter is clean, I have changed my oil filter & got oil change and I have replaced the spark plugs but this was all about 3 months ago… But I have never got my fuel filter replaced and the person I have bought the car from said he never replaced the fuel filter before either
So what's your question? YES, replace it already! Make sure you use the correct, genuine Honda filter. The aftermarket ones are junk and often cause problems. The filter is cheaper at the dealer anyway.
- Where is my fuel filter located? Hi, I have a 1986 Honda Prelude carbourated engine and I was wondering where my fuel filter would be located?
- Where is my fuel filter located? - 1 I have a 1986 Honda prelude carborated engine and I was wondering where the fuel filter is? I'm not very mechanically inclined and need to know exactly where it is so I can change it.
- After changing the air filter in my car, the MPG reading dropped significantly? Last month I changed the air filter in my car because the old one was dirty. However, I immediately noticed a drop in the average miles per gallon-- it dropped by 6 (from 43mpg to 38 mpg). This seems large considering my driving habits have not changed. I still commute on the same route, at the same speed. Is this normal after replacing the air filter? The old one was dirty and needed replacement. If it matters, my car is a Honda Civic sport, 2006/7.
