Help me with a Honda steering issue?

I have a 2007 honda accord exl v6 4 door sedan. I'm having problems with my steering.

I replaced my rack and pinion, power steering pump, serpentine belt, power steering fluid, and I got a 4 wheel alignment with balancing.

My steering is still tight. Once the engine heats up after a couple mins steering tightens back up. I'm not sure what the issue is. I just want someone to pinpoint it for me.

What do you mean by "tight" I assume that you mean it is difficult to turn the wheel but I don't like to make assumptions.

Did you put the correct fluid in? Honda's take special fluid.

After driving and it gets tight, pull over and look to see if you have foam in the PS reservoir. If you do there's a common problem with the return line flange o-ring. $6.55 from Honda.

  • Will a steering wheel off of a Honda Odyssey fit my Honda Civic? I have a 2002 Honda Civic and need to change the steering wheel to another stock one because the brackets in mine are destroyed, I can't find one in my area and was wondering if a odyssey steering wheel from the same year would fit, and if the airbag from my Civic will line up with an odyssey wheel, so that i don't need to go buy an airbag
  • Honda magna random idle issue? So I just got a 1999 Honda magna 750. It starts and runs great, but it has this random issue when idling. So while idling it'll idle normal where I've set it, then for about 2 seconds the idle will jump up about 1-2k rpm then it'll go back to idling normal. It does this while in neutral as well as when I pull the clutch and let off the throttle and coast to a stop. What could be the cause of this? Abd what can I do to fix this?
  • Honda Integra Idle Air Control Valve issue? Anyone knows what's wrong with my turbocharged ITR? It's not running smooth anymore. I thought it was spark plug problem, so I replaced them but still nothing changed. Might be IAC problem? Rebuilt parts: -Eagle Rods -Garrett T3/TO4E Turbo Rebuilt date: 2009
  • Does power steering fluid get hot if the car is just running and the steering isn't being used? If the pump is just spinning, recirculating fluid and nothing else… Would it still get hot? I had to bypass the pump from the rack and have the fluid recirculate. Would the pump get hot from just spinning? I know 8th gen Honda's don't have a cooler for the power steering anyways.
