Honda accord cruise control?

Hi all I recently purchased a 1999 honda accord
that has cruise control! This is the first car I've had with this function! I've no idea if it works or how to use it! (Although I know what cruise control is ) ! Can anyone help with giving me some pointers please?

Hi in most cases it only really works above about 30 mph. So you get up to around 32 mph and set the cruise control to on. It will have a slight delay but it will stay at that speed to either you brake or touch the throttle.
then you need to switch it off. It will with an automatic gearbox change down to go up a hill or change up the gear on a slow decline.

First you must turn the cruise control on. The button is somewhere on the dash. Once you do that you will see a light on the dash indicating it is on. Now as you are driving and reach the speed you wish to maintain push the set button on the cruise control and take your foot off the accelerator. When you stop the instant your touch the brake pedal the cruise will disengage. Once you start again just push resume and it will go back to the speed you previously set. At any time while the cruse is activated you can increase your speed by pressing the accel button or you can decrease your speed by pressing decal button. Each press changes your speed by around 2 mph. Warning: Do not use cruise control in the city, in heavy traffic, when it is raining, or snowing. Only use it on a dry open road with little traffic.
