Honda accord temp gauge showing hot?
I have a 97 honda accord and the temp gauge has been running hot. Its not low on oil, coolant, water, ect. In the mornings when about 50 to 60 or less it does not have a problem and runs normal but in the afternoon when its 70 plus it wants to get hot. It fluctuates when stopped at a red light it gets worse and then droving kind of cools it down. Any ideas
If you Honda is running hot at idle or slower driving speeds it is most likely cause by a improperly functioning cooling fan. At higher speeds a motor vehicle is naturally cooled by forced air intake. At idle, or slower speed, the cooling fan must compensate.
The fan is not working.
When the engine is cold, open the hood, start the car and let it idle. Get someone to watch the temp gauge. The radiator fan should engage after 2 to 5 minutes (sometimes it may take longer so watch the temp gauge). If the fan works, have the thermostat checked and check for a clogged radiator or a weak water pump. It if it does not, the fan and/or the fan relay is broken.
- 2006 Honda Pilot oil stick showing low oil? The car has absolutely no obvious leaks and its not burning oil we bought a new stick and changed the oil but yet it's still (stick only) showing as low oil, what could be the issue? Is the stick (bought new one from dealership ) the issue or can it be leaking out somewhere that's not in plain view? I'm taking it to mechanic next week but I'm trying to see if I could get Tips Here first. The car runs perfectly fine, no obvious issues.
- Honda cb500 1994 temp. Gauge, and oil indicator does not work? Hey guys just got my first honda and of course it's great and i'm loving it, but i have a small issue with the temp gauge. It seems not to work, even when the fan turns on it does not seem to even get up from the bottom. So any ideas what and where i should try fixing? One more thing is that the oil indicator does not light up at the start, any ideas why? The lamp is ok I've checked it already

- Honda Civic dashboard light not showing anymore The Blue high beam light indicator is no longer showing up in my car. Even when I have the high beam on. Is this a problem? Honda Civic 2013. It was showing a month ago. Did I burn it out? Or am I missing something?
