How much to fix water pump/timing belt on 96 honda accord coupe?

So this woman is selling a 1996 honda accord coupe lx, auto, with about 170k miles on it and she recently replaced the radiator but the mechanics apparently told her the water pump/timing belt need to be replaced as well which I'm aware is typical for v4 honda accord. What I'm wondering is would it be worth to buy the car at $700 and get it fixed myself and how much would it be for the labor and the parts? And is the car worth that.

Where did you find a V4 accord? Derp. It's an I-4 as in, inline 4 cylinder.

It will cost about $700 for the timing belt, depending on where you are.

You are looking at upwards of $1000, maybe a bit less for a timing belt "kit" which includes the water pump.

Not too hard. Def a good idea as that can ruin yr engine if it pops. If the car is driving ok - offer her 500. Then buy the parts online for about $175 and diy if you wanna save $$ :)
