How warm does an engine valve cover get?
I want to paint my engine valve cover on my 2000 Honda Accord. I understand that you need paint that can handle the high temperatures but how warm does the valve cover actually get?
The muscle car forums suggest that rocker covers can get to about 150 degrees C (about 300degrees F)
Thanks for the answer.
So if i choose a paint that can handle up to 288 degrees C (550 degrees F) i should be fine?
- Where can I buy a 12' open aluminium boat cover and or 9.9 Honda 4 stroke motor cover? I have been looking all over for these two items but have yet to find a set of decent covers. I can find covers for boats but not for a 12' open boat with no window shield. I'm preferably looking for an outboard cover that fits over the whole motor not just the hood.
- 2001 Honda CR-V A/C will blow cool for 15-30 min then go warm? My 2001 Honda CR-V has 170,000 miles and it blows fairly cold air for the first 15-30 minutes but then gets warm until I let the car sit for a few hours. I have not checked the cabin filter yet since on this series of CR-V it is the hardest one I have had to get to, so wanted to ask first. Do you think it is that? Also, it doesn't sound like the compressor turns on or off if that makes a difference.
