Is it easy to change an alternator in a 1994 Honda Accord lx?

Maybe for a mechanic?

That depends entirely on your skill level. For me it's easy. For you? Who knows. Have a watch:

I've never had trouble changing an alternator in any vehicle. Usually, it's 3 mounting bolts and a couple of plugs, at most. The most difficult part of the job, for me, has always involved getting enough slack on the belt so I can install the new alternator, but even that's not too bad on some vehicles.

Take it a mechanic if you have to ask.

Yes it's easy, just fiddly.

For me it is and for you who knows?!
Watch a youtube video to see what's involved.

Watch a youtube to see if you can easily do it. Looks like a lot of work, but for me not as much work as paying a shop $500.

  • Is maintenance for a Honda XR650L easy and simple? I ask because I want to buy one for a daily user. Is maintenance the same like a regular motorcycle? Example: More/less frequent oil changes. I wanted the L because c mon, That back hasn't changed mechanically speaking since 92 so you know that s solid engineering. I've owned and still ride an 88 route 66 for 3 years, done my regular oil change 3000miles, lube job, etc. So would it be the same? More work, less work. How s it looking?
