Some specs-
130k miles
4 cyl engine
5 spec automatic transmission
2 wheel drive (front)
24mpg city / 33mpg highway (rough estimate of about $2,000 in gas a year, give or take)

I just went and checked it out at the lot. Looks to be in decent enough shape. Interior looks newer than 2003. Love the look of the car aside from a few small dents and scratches.

All in all, is this car worth $5,000? That's at the very top of my price range for how much money I have.

High mileage and a tad high priced for a base model Accord. Four grand at most and get a good drivetrain warranty with it. Transmissions for that year are famous for failing.

It is safe for first car, but insurance might be high because it is a two door, and its your first car. Check the car if it is damaged, check the oil if it there's water mixed with it. Ask the owner if you can get it checked by a mechanic, test drive it and make sure nothing sounds funny. Check the car's maintenance history.

Mileage is high. Make sure tires are good and almost new. Take it for a drive and offer 4750.00 $… Make sure the spare tire and jack are there and the title is clear…
