My '96 Honda Accord won't start. Could it be an electrical problem?
So the other day me and my brother got the car started. Everything was fine. We figured out it needed a new battery. My brother was the one hooking up the jumper cables and when he went to pull them off of his car he dropped them on the WET grass and then my car died. It wouldn't turn on AT ALL. I think it may be a shortage somewhere or maybe something got blown out? I need outside help. I wanna have an idea of what's wrong before I take it to the mechanic. Any advice is very much appreciated
The charging system on your Accord need to be test/ check out. Dropping the jump cables from your brother car (Even on wet grass) meaning the supply power cut off and your battery did not provide enough juice for the PCM to operate (Minimum is 8.5 volts)
Recheck all of the fuses and jump start the vehicle again, this time leave the cables hook up for 10-15 minutes while both vehicle still running and then disconnect the jump cables and have the charging system check out.
Sofie Tran was right and so were you: Need a new battery or at least have the battery recharge/ retest and go from there.
Put a fresh battery and try to start up the car. If it doesn't work. A fuse might be blown or you guys have made a mistake during the jump which burned some wires.
- Motorcycle Electrical Problem. Power Commander 3 light flickers when indicators are turned on? Seem to have a lot of problems with the wiring of my motorcycle. Previous owner really messed it up. Sent it to a mechanic for him to fix the headlight and taillight wiring because they don't work. That was more than two months ago! Apparently he is busy and I don't know what else. Bike is a 2000 Honda cbr1100xx Blackbird. Problem now is the lights on the power commander 3 start to flicker when the indicators are activated. What is the cause of this? Bike starts and runs fine btw.
- My 99 honda civic ex standard just died while driving and won't start up at all what could it be? While i was driving on the freeway i was going about 80mph when all of a sudden i started to lose power i tried to give it more gas but got no results everything else in the car was still working the radio the power windows even the phone charger worked but the engine wen i checked the.oil stick it.didn't have any oil now the car won't even kick over or make a sound wen i put the key in and crank it up all works but the engine
- I have a problem with my radiator and antifreeze, What could be the problem? Hi guys I have a Honda civic lx 97, I bought about 7 months ago, since then I have bought a new radiator because the old one had a huge leaking problem, anyways I never new How long a gallon of antifreeze could last me. I now know I use too much (I've bought two gallons once the first time i changed the radiator, again today[spand time of 4 months]) antifreeze I don't see any leakage, what could the problem be?
- I felt dizzy and difficulty concentrating after driving my new car for two hours. Could excessive electrical wires be causing this? I felt these symptoms about three times directly after driving my 2000 Honda Civic. The car has about 10 or so electrical wires running above the driver's window and along the headliner for the two dome lights, sun roof, and rear speakers. These wires are very close to my head. I never felt this in my old car which only had one wire running above the driver's window. Does this sound unusual? Thank you very much!
