I felt dizzy and difficulty concentrating after driving my new car for two hours. Could excessive electrical wires be causing this?

I felt these symptoms about three times directly after driving my 2000 Honda Civic.

The car has about 10 or so electrical wires running above the driver's window and along the headliner for the two dome lights, sun roof, and rear speakers. These wires are very close to my head.

I never felt this in my old car which only had one wire running above the driver's window.

Does this sound unusual? Thank you very much! I felt dizzy and difficulty concentrating after driving my new car for two hours. Could excessive electrical wires be causing this

LMAO wtf? No it's not the Fing electrical wires! Fing get out of your car eat and drink something. I drive long trips all the time and this is normal in any vehicle. Sometimes it's worse then other times. Same cure Everytime. Walk around and ground yourself. Take a quick nap if need be.

Fumes, probably. If it smells of cleaning fluids or air freshener, give it as many chances to air out as you can. Also, make sure the exhaust isn't leaking into the cabin.

Make yourself a tinfoil hat. That should protect you from those nasty old wires.

No. But I second the tinfoil hat idea, you can never be too safe.

You're a nut case thinking stupid things like that.
The most likely cause of being dizzy is an exhaust leak or oil from a valve cover leak burning on the exhaust manifold. Burning

Cars typically make people sick. They are inherently poisonous.

You were probably just used to the sick feeling from the other car but when you shifted to a new car it gave you a new sick feeling.

You really just have to get used to it.

Don't worry about dying from being sick immediately.

Studies show it takes quite a few years before the poisons work through the human body enough to kill you.

No. After extensive research from about 1984-2005 we have determined the concerns about EMFs were unfounded. The EU's regulations are still in force but there was never any valid reason for them.

There are reasons you may feel like that. Though. The top concern is carbon monoxide from an exhaust problem. Other concerns with less serious consequences can include background noises you don't pay attention to but still affect you, and the seat position. If it gets better or worse when you adjust the seat back a bit more forward or back, that is where the problem is.

I agree with those who advise having your exhaust system checked out. Especially if you live in a cold winter area where your windows are always up.

Happened to me once. Turned out it was a tail light bulb, the socket had come loose allowing the bulb to rest against plastic. The noxious smell and fumes was plastic burning on the bulb. The feeling I got from this was more sick/nauseated. If it's a sickening plastic type odor check bulbs and for something stuck on the exhaust. A wiring harness should not be doing this to you unless it's shorting out. That would be evident by burned spots on it.

Oil leak can cause that, exhaust leak can cause that. And if those wires, are were you can see them they most likely are add on's some one did: check to see if the wires are hot or not after driving some distance. Until you fine out what is causing this problem drive with the window open.
