Mystery oil loss honda accord 2003?
Not necessarily the problem you have, but Honda had some trouble with compression rings breaking in that time frame (early 2000s). I was active in a Honda forum at the time and we heard complaints about once a month. Nobody had an answer until a dealership tore one down; the compression readings were fine but oil consumption was about a quart a month. At the time the cars were new (all within warranty) but the problem may still be out there.

- Oil Change: Honda Motor Oil Vs Generic oil, does it make a difference? I have been getting oil changes with Honda motor oil for 15 years on my 2002 civic that now has 132K miles. If I switch to a generic $10 oil change garage shop will it still be ok? I know the Honda filters are better then the cheapest generic ones but how about the actual motor oil?
