Should I trade my 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid in for a 2014/2015 Lexus IS250?

I'm 21, I have a 2015 Accord Hybrid with 13000 miles on it. I've had it for about a year. It's push to start and has a blind spot camera.

I love my car and I'm very grateful I was able to get it on my own but I really want something more stylish with more features like a sunroof etc.

I've been looking at 2014/2015 Lexus IS 250. I love how they look especially with red interior.

I chose these particular years because I would like to keep my car note around the same price ($600). I'm aware of the increasing of insurance also. I'm ok to pay for something I really love.

I'm having a hard time making a decision and would like some advice.

I wanted a 2017 Chevy Camaro at first but the price I ll pay for a brand new base model Camaro can get me a used Lexus with more features and space.

If you're asking if it makes financial or rational sense, of course not.

But cars are emotional things. You used the word "love" at least 3x in your question. If you can afford it, it will make you happier and that's how you'd like to spend your money, then go for it. Just don't fool yourself into thinking it makes rational or financial sense, cause 1) it doesn't, and 2) it's not always about that.

Why not just set fire to a big pile of cash?

Stick to your present car. You don't say if it's paid off, so I strongly doubt it.

Here's a basic life lesson: You can't get out of debt by digging yourself ever deeper into debt.

Should you? No.

I mean you could, but every time you trade cars it's costs you money, several thousand dollars.

Run your Accord for another 80K miles, then trade it on a 3 year old 2020 Lexus if you want.

Do you like losing a ton of money? Then trade cars often.
