What is this (yellow-ish) gunk stuff on my electrical connectors?
I have been working on the interior of my 91 honda accord. I was cleaning under the door panels and carpet and I have noticed that some of the electric connectors have this yellow sticky earwax type stuff inside the harness itself. I'm trying to clean it but it's hard to get it inside the tiny harness holes. What is this stuff? What causes it? Can i avoid it in the future? What's the best way to clean this gross stuff?
It's probably dielectric grease that was applied at the factory to keep the electrical contacts from corroding. Leave it alone.
I wouldn't bother It. It's minding It's business and doing It's job.

- Would you drive a yellow or purple 2015 honda fit? So I really like the yellow and purple honda fits, and I'm a dude. Would you guys drive one, or are they too "gay" or "girly" of colors. Please only answer after seeing each of the colors on the car itself. I would normally say no to these colors on a different car, but I really like em on the 2015 Honda Fit.
- In my brand new car with all the computerized stuff, if I disconnect and reconnect the battery, do I have to reset the computer? I have a brand new, 2017 Honda CR-V EX. It has a bunch of computerized stuff that I old car doesn't have like blind spot monitor, tire pressure monitor, etc. If I disconnect the battery and reconnect it, do I have to reset any of the computerized stuff? Or can I drive it immediately with no problem?
