Why can't women differentiate cars?
I had tons of experiences with these and the worst I can get is confusing a Toyota 86/Scion FR-S with a Ferrari.
A woman I overheard in a car show thinks that a Daihatsu Copen is faster than a Honda Accord, because the latter has 2 doors while the Honda has 4.
Some of my schoolmates are unsure of the brand that they own.
Can I have more info on this?
I can't either. Such a pointless thing to care about.
Some women can, some can't. Some care, some don't. I'm sure not all men are experts at cars either… Women typically aren't interested enough in cars to extensively learn about it. But there are definitely outliers to that, as I'm sure some women know more about cars than the average guy. A person persues their interests, no matter what gender.
This question isn't related to gender but hobby.
Some people just don't bloody care about the official name of a car and there's no excuse here for you to be sexist about it to women.
Seriously…
A person, male or female knows what an old Mustang is but we have to call it a 1971-1972 Ford Mustang coupe by your standards?
Why should they be able to? They're just a way of getting from A to B. Not important in the grand scheme of things.
I don't see any reason for me to learn about types of cars. It just seems really pointless to me. Cars are not an interest of mine.
The same reason men can't differentiate Prada and Gucci.
Cars hold no interest for me, that's why I know very little about them.
Actually I know men who couldn't tell a BMW from Skoda.
some people just have no interest in cars.
Some can… Still low % though - 10% or so.
Car years are according to the style of bumper.
Car makes and models are according to body; not chassis but the body. Knowing the style of headlights is helpful in this area, the slope of the roof, the length, type of tires, shape of the doors and windows should enable one to know the make and the model of the car. Ford is the make and Taurus is the model.
We women should know a little bit about cars; how are we to know how to keep it in top shape so we don't end up taking it to a mechanic all the time. A huge tip: Once a week, preferably a certain day and time, check your oil, air filter, the air in your tires and the transmission fluid. (Transmission fluid is checked by having the engine run) Know the differences in oil; you can't use a heavy weight in winter because it freezes therefore; you have to use a light weight oil.
Just as when going into a skid you turn in the direction you are skidding in order to pull out of it; something I knew without knowing I did when I was 15. My brother was taking me to school we hit and icy patch and I automatically (never read on the subject) told him to turn in the direction he was skidding and we pulled out of it as easy as spreading mayonnaise on a sandwich.
Women are just too emotional, and their IQs are just too low for them to be allowed to drive…
If women can't recognise a car, that's a good thing. It means the Man Of The House is doing a good job limiting their driving privileges.
The real question here though is, what was that woman even doing at a car show? Who gave her permission to leave the house?
The same reason why you probably wouldn't be able to differentiate the difference between designer purses and shoes, or lip stick brands
Some girls weren't taught about it because they're expected not to know
All of women's shortcomings stem from not being required to be any different/better.
In short, "Because they don't have to."
- Why is it that some husbands let their wives drive luxury cars while they drive ordinary cars? I've been observing some of my neighbors (one of them is a stay at home mom) and the husbands drive ordinary cars like Honda Accord or Honda Pilot. But the wives tend to drive luxury cars like Acura TSX or Acura RDX (some form of luxury car). What is the reason for this? Why do wives get to drive luxury cars while the husband drives ordinary car? I should say some of them. Its not a problem though but was only curious. The neighbors are Asians actually.
- Least attractive common car to women? What would be a car that a potential date would find LEAST attractive… I'm talking about fairly popular cars made recently (after 1990) OR a general type of car (like hatchback for example). Would it be a Honda? Maybe a Toyota Camry?
- Is it better to sell Cheap cars or Expensive cars? As a car salesman? Some people would think cheap cars but people with bad credit get declined often. I know this because my credit sucks and i'm almost always declined for cars. I'm sure this makes it tougher to get a sale right? This has me thinking, i want to sell cars. Should selling luxury cars like mercedes and bmw be better than selling hondas and toyotas?
- If one or two ISP's ban a site and raise prices, can a new one rise up and compete? Why? Why not? What about Honda/Toyota? Or ' MCI & Sprint muscling AT&T aside? Anyone remember Nucor Steel? Each of those took advantage of very different situations, each with seemingly impossible odds. Thing is, they were all LEGALLY allowed to compete. How about here?
