Why does my 2015 Honda Accord Sport make a squealing/screech noise?
Whenever I first start my car and put it in reverse, the transmission makes a brief screech noise. It ll do it on occasion if I switch it into park.
It's still a new car and I don't think it should be doing this. What might the problem be?
Hard to tell from here. Take it back to Honda. Its still under warranty.
I hear they are having troubles with the CVT. On any case, get it back to the dealer.
How about going to the dealer? They have all the recalls and mechanic TSB reports on product issues. Use your warranty, that's what it's for.
The screeching is probably not the transmission. It is probably one of your fan belts slipping. Check the tension on your belts, if one is loose have it tightened. You tube probably has a video on how to check belt tension.

- Why do older cars make that wind up noise when reversing? I have always wondered… It was real prevalent on saturns and hondas. They make like a high pitch winding noise and I just wondered why.
- Will 2013-2015 Honda Accord Sport 18 wheels fit on my 2014 Accord LX? So I would like to get some OEM Honda Accord sport wheels on my LX but will I be able to just simply switch them? As far as I'm concerned they should but should I worry that the sport Tire is 1.5" larger in diameter and the rim is 2" larger?
