Why does my engine light stay on 1991 honda accord lx?

Pull the codes. Go to your passenger side. Take off the kick plate in the door sill. It pops right off it's plastic. Then go to the foot well and to the right is another plastic panel. Pop that off as well. There should be a BLUE pin hanging down. If not it's further up in the passenger area you just gotta look for it. Once you find it, take a paper clip and unbend it. Stick the paper clip (both ends) into the the 2 biggest holes on the blue pin.

Then turn the key to accessory mode, the check engine light should flash for the codes.

Because something to do with your engine needs attention.

If you fixed something already it might have a second code or if not disconnect the battery and it'll go away
