Will it be wise to spruce up my 2014 owned car, for the new 2016 and pay off the rest in payments?
Ok so I have a 2014 honda accord and I want the 2016. I own the 2014 for a year and half and it has the usual wear and tear on it. I was thinking of detailing it back to like new and sell it back to honda. Then take that money and put it towards the 2016 and pay off the rest. Is this the best way of going about it?

Why not sell it to an individual buyer, where you'll make more money than selling/trading to a Honda dealer where you'll only get wholesale trade value? An individual buyer will appreciate the detailing while a dealer won't much care.
So you are going to borrow thousands of dollars to change to a slightly newer version of the same car? Why? It's not like the 2016 is much different than the 2014 - they are the same generation. Pretty much the same car.
Trading in a vehicle after such a short amount of time is foolish - I could see it if you were going in a different direction, like if you needed a pickup truck or something like that, but that isn't the case here - this is a bad idea.
Good luck being in debt when you're 70.
Yes why not, you've just lost 30% of the value on your current car and will take another 20% hit when you drive the new car out the showroom
- Should Red Bull Racing use 2014 chassis (RB10) until at the rest of season? Red Bull Racing today are struggling with 0 podiums and 0 wins. Unlike Repsol Honda in MotoGP, they use 2014 chassis until at the rest of season to return to title contender
- Should McLaren use 2014 chassis with 2015 nosecone until rest of season? McLaren this year are awful because of transition period from Mercedes-Benz to Honda. McLaren this year's MP4-30 also flop because several pointless including Jenson Button at Monaco 2015
- Is it good to keep a new bike at rest for more than 2months? I'm going to buy a honda cbf stunner 125cc bike tomorrow. Well, I'm just 17years. I would be turning 18 only by this August. Is it okay to ride the new bike locally until I gain license?
- Does Dealer have to pay for Dry Rotted tires on a car bought brand new off the lot? I was driving home today when my tire literally collapsed in on itself. The car was bought brand new off the lot of the honda dealership, its barely 1.5 years old. My tire light did come on but its going from winter to summer here so I figured I'd just needed to put air in them as usual. Should the dealer have to replace the tires on the car if they are in fact dry rotted? I'm pretty sure it is dry rot as it doesn't look like any flat I've ever had…
