Would it be the timing or in the fuel system?
I have a 2.1 1996 honda accord that stalled out on me while sitting at a red light it started back and was idling fine but once you push the gas in it starts puttin and will not really dirve everyone Is saying it has something to do with the fuel system but i was trying to get some other input. Could anyone possibly help out?
Sounds like a misfire to me. Check fuel and spark
Get your codes read.
It sounds like a fuel delivery problem, with special suspicion on the fuel filter.
You don't mention a Check Engine Light so I also suspect the EGR valve may be carboned open. That allows the engine to idle but it chokes on its own exhaust if you open the throttle and there's rarely an "excessive EGR flow" code implemented to alert you. Blocking the EGR valve off will test for a jammed EGR valve.
Check the cam timing. The timing belt may have jumped time.
- Does the fuel tank size have any impact on fuel economy between vehicles? For example the new Honda Accords have a 56 Litre tank while the CRV has a 53 L and the Rogue a 55 L. Now the 2 latters are compact crossovers and are arguably bigger in size than the Accord, so would that mean they are using up more gas? Would that mean its better to buy the Accord if we were going based on just gas mileage?
- 2000 honda cr-v b202z engine .i replaced timing belt and now it won't idle. I set the timing. I did all the steps? 2000 honda cr-v b202z engine. I replaced timing belt and now it won't idle. I set the timing. I did all the steps?
- Newer Honda Civic idle low/uneven - would fuel system cleaner All of a sudden I keep noticing that the idle on my Civic is low or uneven and it seems like it might stall out sometimes. I'm wondering what different things it could be and could it possibly help to use on of those additives that supposedly clean the fuel system.
- Wondering if this stereo system would be compatible with a 1997 Honda accord? I've been looking at stereo systems and ideally this one has everything I want. I'm just not sure if it's compatible with my car.
