Are Honda Jazz s decent cars?
My aunt has offered to give me her manual 2008 Honda Jazz, because she s buying an automatic. It's only done 22,000 miles, so shouldn t have incurred too much wear and tear.
What I want to know is: Are they spacious (I'm 6 ft 4), Are they easy to drive (I currently drive a 2003 Toyota Yaris), and will I look ridiculous as a 27 year old driving such a vehicle?
They are not good. They are very good! One of the best buys out there… Typical Honda… Very reliable.easy to drive. As a man I would not have a yaris… The jazz is sexless
All Honda cars are well made and very reliable. As long as the car hasn't been abused or neglected you should have no problems with this car.
If it's free, it is for me.
Spacious - yes, very (more so than a Yaris).
However try it for size, to make sure you can get a comfortable driving position.
Reliable - yes, but any car that has only done 22,000 miles in 8 years may have problems caused by seldom having got up to proper operating temperature.
It is easy to drive, but the windscreen pillars do cause issues with forward vision which some find a problem.
You'll look no more ridiculous in a Jazz as in a Yaris (by 2008 I think the strange pink colour that required a certain character to carry off had been discontinued in the UK).

When I switch the air con off the squeal stops but sometimes it goes away when I change gear even if the air con is switched on. The squeal lasts about 5 to 8 seconds depending on whether I change gears, switch the aircon off or restart the engine. Does anyone know what the problem is here? I'm guessing it could be the serpentine belt.
- Honda Jazz Jerking / Power Cuts? Hi. 2008 honda jazs 1.4i LX 120000km. Sometimes in gear 2 and 3 while accelerating car loses power for one second. Its kinda jerking. I have changed the spark plugs but didn't help.
- Honda Jazz 2005 CVT (UK)? Buying 2005 Jazz CVT. Want to know how are the Honda parts compare with other make price wise. Overall hows the maintenance cost of Honda makes (specifically Jazz). Being CVT 1.3 how's the pickup of the car?
