Buying a honda prelude with over 200 thousand miles that has been maintained?
Opinions how fair will it last
I sold my 1989 Prelude Si with 189k miles just a few years ago. Loved that car but simply could not afford to keep it after inheriting another vehicle. At 189k miles the Prelude did have minor needs but the engine and general drivetrain components were still as solid as a rock. Honda makes the best engines in the business, they can easily last 300k miles if not more with proper maintenance. So if this Prelude has truly been properly maintained, and the seller has records to prove it, it is a safe bet.
- I've financed a car and put 1,000 down, it's been 2 days and the dealer still Looking a for a bank but I've been approved already? So I've put 1,000 down for my car at Honda and everyday passes but still same response from the dealer "still working on a approval" but they have my deposit and they already approved me. Is this even legal, Can they hold my deposit and not give me the car. Would I lose my deposit if I'm not approved?
- Is it worth buying a used Chevy Volt with over 100K miles on it? The price is right, but is it worth it? I know I would have to install a power charging station which is an additional 1000 dollars. There's one for sale at 14,500 dollars… But most used Volts are around 23,000 dollars. My other two considerations are a new 2015 Honda Fit or a used Mark 6 VW Golf TDI I've seen people on youtube who average 120 mpg with the volt! One guy's was even 1000 mpg, I don't think he even brought it to the gas station since he bought the car!
- How many miles will a 2004 Honda CR-V last, of it was maintained well and not driven hard? I was given a 2004 Honda CR-V by an elderly woman. It has 225K miles and she was the only owner, with no accidents.
- Should I buy a 2008 honda civic ex-l that has 100000 miles or a honda civic lx that has 82k miles? The honda civic ex-l has only one owner and the honda civic lx is from a dealer. They're fairly the same price
