1991 honda civic dx? ( not a hatchback)?

I just got this car the other day, it will be my third car, i'm tryna figure out how to do a engine swap but i nothing about hondas or where to do it. If you know what i'm talking about than please anything help and i live in washington state btw.

I'm tryna tune her up get a better engine in it.

Go to a B- Series Forum or EF Forum. It has been done countless times. There are so many choices for engine swaps with a Civic.

Go b series (b16a, b16b, b18b1 b18c, b18a1, etc) for a b series swap you will need the engine, transmission, motor mounts, b series axles, wiring harness, and the ecu the new engine comes with. For a bolt in engine you can go with a d16z6, d16a6, sohc zc or a dohc zc. This is a bit off topic but the civic dx models don't come with rear disc brakes, if you want disc brakes on 4 wheels, the DA Integra brakes, EF civic ex brakes, and the EF civic SI brakes would be a bolt on upgrade.
