2012 Honda Civic won't start up unless I step on the gas pedal and turn key simultaneously?
I have already changed 3 batteries over the course of approximately 90,000 miles. I recently changed the 3rd battery as well as the spark plugs, but the car still wouldn't start unless I step on the gas pedal first.
Try checking the FUEL PUMP. If you have to step on the gas to supply enough fuel to start, the battery and spark plugs are the LAST place to look for the problem.

I'm curious as to how i go about this because i want to be the one to build my dream i don't currently have one or a specific year in mind but id also like to eventually swap out the stock 50cc for a gy6 150cc motor. - My rear lights don't come on when light switch its turn on. They only turn on when i press the brake pedal? (same with the cluster assmbly) on my 1992 honda civic 4 door. All bulbs are good. Just replaced all fuses.

The clutch feels backwards now, won't switch gears unless the car is off and the pedal is all the way up. When you start it in gear it will not come out of said gear unless you turn the car off. The clutch pedal will get stuck down and the car will roll in whatever gear you put it in, when putting the clutch pedal down is supposed to release the clutch… It does not
