2014 Honda Civic LX high rpm (upper 4,000) at 60 mph. Normal or not?

I recently bought a used Honda Civic with 39,000 miles on it and just realized that it has very high rpms at around 60 mph. I did some research but only found topics on this regarding many transmission and Si Honda civics. Considering this is my first Honda, can anyone shed any light into whether this is normal or not?

Turn your overdrive back on and see if things change.

  • Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
  • Is the reason why a motorbike engine won't work in a car because they can't produce high torque at low RPM? I have a 1.3 litre Mitsubishi Colt. Maximum power output 94 BHP at 6000 rpm Maximum torque 92 FT/LB at 4000 rpm Honda 2017 CBR1000RR 1 litre Maximum Power output 189 HP at 13,000 RPM 85.6 FT/LB at 11,000rpm
  • How come my CRX cuts out at high rpm? I have a 1991 Honda CRX. It has a 1.5L (D15B2) and it has like 196xxx miles on it and it's automatic by the way. When I step on it, it accelerates fine but when it starts to get to the high rpm range, it starts to like cut out. I've changed my plugs and wires and also the head gasket. Any ideas on what it could be? The car starts right up and the car also vibrates at in gear at idle but the idle is fine. It's not too low.
