96 honda civic sputtering when driving?

When I'm sitting idle my car sputters like it wants to shut off. I changed the plugs and wires and distributer. Cap and everything. It worked for a month then it started again. I then changed it all again and it did the same,… ( runs for a month and starts sputtering) Could it be a bad fuel filter or pump? Or would I need to change the ignition coil? I would like to start small before I take it in for something big… The check engine light came on and the test said it is a misfire in cylinder #2 as well… Please help me

Pull out all of the spark plugs.
Turn the key to the "on" position for 5 seconds and then turn it to the "off" Position.
Repeat this cycle 5 times
With the spark plugs out, turn the key to the "Start" Position and let the engine crank a few times. If you see a gyser of fuel coming out of the spark plug holes, you have a leaking fuel injector and will have to replace the O-rings on it.

Change the fuel filter, Remove and clean the idle air control then try to that I think you are sucsess

Fixing that misfire will do wonders. Youtube offers videos on diagnosing that problem

#1. Change the fuel filter first.

#2. Ask a Honda Dealer to test the fuel pressure on the fuel rail pressure fitting under the hood. This is a very inexpensive test BUT the fuel filter must be clean to get an accurate fuel pressure reading.

#3. Remove and clean the idle air control valve.
