97 honda civic Failed Smog?
I have a 97 honda civic dx.it failed the HC ppm and CO%…
Later my dad checked my car amd found a crack in the manifold. And the rotor had a piece broken and the oxygen sensor was not tight and and looked all messed up…
Do you guys think its because of these problems?
Help any advise would be really appreciated…
ALSO ANOTHER THING. The RPM was off…
15miles was like around 1945
25 miles was like 2376
The guy said that the 25 mile had to be in the same as the 15 mile one

Ideally the ones who fail it will also tell you why (in writing) if it is worth fixing it and how much it will cost to do the job.
- What's the value of a honda odyssey with a failed transmission? I paid $3750 FOR A HONDA ODYSSEY, WHAT WILL IT BE WORTH WITH A FAILED TRANSMISSION? VAN IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH All THE SAME TIRES, CLEAN INSIDE AND NO DENTS.
- If car passes smog does that mean the engine and transmission are good? Recently bought a 97 honda and I know it needs a time up. Yesterday when backing up the car got stuck and the steering wheel felt stuck. Will a tune up detect what all is wrong?
- California SMOG Check Changed? Has California changed the Smog Check requirement? Two of my vehicles ('98 Honda CRV and '02 Honda CRV) only did Pass/Fail check. Garage techs did not measure the emission data. Only one car ('98 Toyota Corolla) took emission check. Why?
- Went to get a smog check and i failed because apparently my carbon levels were to high. Does anyone know how i can fix this? They tried to charge me an extra $70 on top of what i had already paid to have them tell me what's wrong with it "diagnostic". If it matters, its a honda civic 90
