Are the push/start buttons on Honda's reliable?
I've been wanting to buy a new Honda Civic sedan, but in order to get the color I want, I'd need to buy the Sport trim, which is a step up from the LX (base) trim. The LX has the traditional key start system, but only comes in four colors (with the 6 speed transmission).
Whichever car I get, I want it to last for decades/hundreds of thousands of miles. Do you believe the push start button would go that long trouble-free? Because I plan to keep the vehicle so long, I'd like to get the color I desire, but don't want to have problems later. Any advice?
You should be more concerned about the CVT transmission in the vehicle.
Push button systems work fine once you learn how to use them properly.
The absolute very last thing I would have ever worried about on a car is the push button start.
The second to last thing would be the color.
- How much of a problem did Hondas have with there push to start feature failing to let their cars start? I have heard some people say Honda had a problem with this. Was it just a few Hondas or was it a big problem?
- I have a Honda HRX217 push mower. Backfired when trying to start it, now it won't start? It was running, then I shut it off to open and close a gate, and when I went to start it again there was a really loud backfire and now it won't start. It will sound like it's almost about to start but not. Then get progressively weaker each pull. I changed the spark plug and cleaned the air filter. Any ideas?
- How long to run a near full gas tank out? Push mower? Is a Honda gvc 160 4.4hp. I would drain it from the gas line but I've got some Lucas injector cleaner in it.So about how long do y'all think? And yes I've already cut my yard two days ago.
- How come my atv won't electric start but will crank if I push start it? 2006 Honda trx. Doesn't have a pull rope only electric start. The starter motor turns over the engine but just won't start but I'll push it down the yard with it in gear and it will fire right up. I'm so confused by this.
