For a 4 cylinder Honda civic (2,000); what would you say is expectable gas mileage for mixed driving conditions; both in town and highway?

I have to drive a bit to work every day and am trying to figure what my Honda Civic should get in gas mileage. Do you have any input? If I find out I'm getting 25 mpg for mixed driving conditions; am I too low for a Honda Civic?

Added (1). By the way: This is not a hybrid car. It is burning straight gasoline. So: What should I expect in mpg?

Up to 35 city / 43 highway. So somewhere in the middle of that.

There are many things that determine gas mileage. The type of transmission, whether you maintain the vehicle properly including the tire pressure as well as your personal driving habits. There are also three styles of Honda Civic from 2000.

You should get around 32 if you drive easy. If you start and stop hard then you may get far less.

If you live in San Francisco or Seattle, that might be all you get with all the hills and stop and go. If you live in Big Spring, Texas, you need to get on the highway to go anywhere and your mpg should be lots higher. MPG for Civics is pretty consistent, as long as you move while the engine is running.
