Hitch for 2005 honda civic?

I want to get a hitch receiver for my 2005 Honda civic to put a rack on to carry my dirt bike around. All the receivers I have seen has said max tongue weight is 200lbs. I figured with the rack and bike it would be about 300lbs. Do you recommend I even put a hitch on and if yes where would I look?

depending on how big of a motorcycle, how good you are putting motorcycle onto the cheap trailers.

They don't have the capability to carry much weight. That is why my son buys 1 ton pickup trucks.

You bought the wrong kind of car. Those car are not build to be drag around stuff like that.

  • Trailer hitch install gone wrong? So i have a 2008 honda crv. I had a trailer hitch installed at the place i rented my uhaul before i moved to florida 5 months ago. Now i'm having electrical problems and 1000 dollars later in repairs. The honda dealership has come to the conclusion that the trailer install is the cause and is removing the whole tow package which is another 200. Is there anything i can do about the last shop messing my car up?

I believe that the wire color it was connected to was either yellow and white or yellow and green.

  • No Crank, No Start Honda Civic 2005 Lx? My Civic has enough power for the headlights and dashboard to turn on, yet the engine will not start. Could it be a problem with fuse, alternator, or starter? Jump starting doesn't.
