How Much cost to replace 2010 Honda Civic AC Compressor Clutch?
I have a 2010 Honda Civic, It was running smoothly up till now, but the AC Compressor just destroyed itself this past Friday. Sounds like this is a honda civic common problem for the car? Either way, the dealership shop is quoting me $1,600 to replace the compressor, clutch, serpentine belt and for an AC recharge. Does this sound about right? Or am I getting hosed?
Added (1). i just noticed ac compressor and clutch for honda civic 2010 only need 108$ in HexAutoParts.com, is it reasonable?
That is a ripoff price. Go to an independent car ac mechanic, much cheaper. Do install factory compressor only.
Take it to a private mechanic and I'll bet it's half that price. An after market AC compressor works just as well.
