How much money will it cost to put a V8 500 hp engine in a Honda Civic?

I would like to consider putting a bigger engine in my first car when I get older. WIll I have to purchase a bigger engine to obtain the power? If yes, then how much will it cost, and if not what upgrades could I use to obtain the desired amount of power. I would also appreciate spending less than $10,000.

Will cost more than $10,000.

Besides obvious fitment and transmission/driveline issues…

Body and subframe will need to be modified to handle the power. Brakes, suspension, etc… Basically everything that moves on the car will need to be updated. Essentially, you will be building a complete car from scratch… Not an easy task.

That would require a complete re-design of the entire car - By the time you got done, it wouldn't look anything like a Honda anything. The engine alone will probably run you $ 5,000, so you're budget isn't going to get you what you want. I'd guess closer to $ 40,000… Or, you could buy a good used Mustang V-8, something that was designed to have a V-8, & you just might be able to squeak into your budget then…

This would be easy, you get a truck/jeep/suv with a 500 V8.
Remove the body from the truck.
Shorten the truck frame to match the honda wheelbase.
Take your honda and remove the engine, wheels, suspension, everything but the body shell and interior.
Put your honda body on the truck.
I've seen this done with several miscellaneous cars, usually on a 4x4 truck or jeep frame.
Of course some adaption of linkages for steering, brakes, throttle etc is needed.

You will get tickets or flying to low
