A friend of mine who is a formal mechanic replaced the fuel module assembly on my Honda Civic. He fixed it at his house. What should I pay him for this?

It depends on how long it took. Ask him how much he wants - if he says nothing I'd get him a $50 gift card from a restaurant you know he likes.
It looks like this is in your gas tank. If he was able to get to it from your trunk than one hour should cover it. Sometimes there are other factors, like rust, corrosion, does the tank need to be removed. How much is your friendship worth? Will you want his help again are all worth considering. Ttfn
