How much would it cost to replace a engine wiring hardness on a car?

I have a 1997 honda civic ex and the engine wiring hardness are bad. How much would it cost?

Unless you have some extraordinary circumstances I would think bypassing the problem area or repairing it would make much more sense.

If its the main computer or fuel injector harness, it can be very expensive. I would suggest getting a good used one from the pull a part type junkyard. If you buy it new or its a aftermarket harness that has been modified so that its less bulky, its usually quite pricey. If its just a single wire with the sensor or component connecter attached, that can sometimes be purchased at Autozone, Rockauto.com, etc.Ebay is also a good source. There are probably several Honda forums you can goto then search the classified section for the harness you need.Every other well known vehicle make and model has several forums online to search through, so Honda should be no different. If you're gonna try to repair your existing harness and need to know something about the harness that's missing, check Autozones site out for a free wiring diagram.Goto Autozone.com, scroll to bottom and click full site, enter your vehicle info in, click repair help, then vehicle repair guide, and your choices will pop up

You will not find a used engine harness in a salvage yard unless you order it. Common practice to strip the wiring from the engine bay. Goes straight to recycling

Never heard of an engine "hardness"
