Your problem is that you don't know how to spell. It is v-tec. Not v-tech. Also if you want to increase mileage, here are some tips:
Most reward-
1. Don't drive like a racer boy. Accelerate slowly and use brakes the least as you can. Try to average 45 mph. Don't be hitting v-tec, in fact don't let the revs get above 3.5k unless its really necessary.
2. Oil change, spark plugs, air intake filter, fuel filter, clean intake manifold.

i'm too lazy to post more complicated stuff. Use number 1 if you want real results with what you have, 2 if you want the best you can get.

A simple tune up would help a lot of that.
