Installing a manual transmisson?
I was wondering if it's possible to install a manual transmission to a car that already has a automatic I have a 2004 Honda civic dx with an automatic transmission it has about 70,000 miles on it. I would like to install a manual tranny. Also how much would it cost of getting this job done, and how much would I get if I sold the auto tranny it's in good condition.
While technically it's possible, it's not economically feasable.
Sell the car, buy an auto version, it will be cheaper.
You can do it but not sure if the cost would be worth it because the value of the car probably will go down.
It is going to cost you a lot cause a new tranny fly wheel clucth pedal and clucth cyn to be installed it is best you leave it a auto
This question comes up a lot. It is a very expensive job - the ECU and harness have to be replaced. In my experience about half the cars that start with the conversion never get back on the road because the owners run out of money. Another half of the remaining ones are reverted to the original automatic transmission.
In the 1960s and 1970s it was popular to change transmission and even engine types - cheap enough to do if you had a "donor" car for parts. Computer control changed all that.
Don't do it.
Geepers! After buying all the new parts from a Honda dealer it would cost more than the car is worth after you have the parts installed.
- Should I use a silicone sealant and/or blue loctite when installing a stator on a motorcycle? The stator recently went out on my 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 and I'm currently waiting on the replacement stator to arrive. It's come to attention that some people use blue loctite when bolting in the stator into the case, then a silicone sealant around the case when re-bolting it to the bike. Is this necessary/recommended and what kind of sealant should I use for the case if I need some?

- Will installing LED lights on my NEW 2015 Honda Civic void the warranty? Ok so, about 2 weeks ago I picked up a BRAND NEW '15 Civic from my local dealer, and some bulbs on my car are LED others are not. I was wondering that if I switched all my lights to LED if that would void the warranty/extended warranty? Being that the lights are "aftermarket". And also, can I use regular LED bulbs or do they have to be "CANBUS Compatible?" LED bulbs
