Is $2300 dollars for 2003 Honda Civic worth it?

I'm looking for a car to bring to school. The drive is about 400 to 600 miles. I found a 2003 Honda Civic on Craigslist and it has 115,000 miles on it. It's 4 wheel drive and has 4 cylinders. The owner described any damage to the car as "The driver's side view mirror semi-detached; power door locks nonfunctional. There's one large dent on the passenger rear that can definitely be banged out. There's minor wear and tear on the body as this is a car that has lived its life in Brooklyn. Photos of nicks and dents, as well as an area of peeling paint and the interior fabric imperfection" I'm not really concerned about the problem with the locks or the exterior, I'm more scared about ending up stuck in the middle of nowhere.

A good indication of the care this car has gotten is told by the evidence of not fixing anything that has broken. Price is low and mileage too. But not trustworthy. You should have the locks working for safety from bad humans.

It don't sound like it's had the best care. If they ignored all these little problems they probably never maintained it's mechanical needs either like oil changes and tune ups. I would stay away from it.
