My 07 honda civic goes backwards when i put it on drive?

Now normally i turn the car on press the brakes shift gears and the car doesn't move. I be like wth is going on move the gear again and the car still doesn't move, in the same time i'm no longer able to press the brakes as if the car is turned off

Need a little more info. So it will start when in park? If you manually count the clicks when shifting (not paying attention to what the display says) do they match what the car does? When it does drive forward what does the display show?

  • Why does my car temperature rise when I idle but when i drive it, it's goes back to normal? So I started noticing this problem 2 days ago. I thought I fixed it by refilling the coolant. It was working fine till today again. When I stop on a cross street or I idle, the temperature slowly rises up to the "H" but once I accelerate or move the car, it slowly goes back to normal. My A.c works perfectly either way. What could be the problem? How much would it cost? It's a 2005 Honda civic ex.

The fans won't work unless i have them wired direct already change the thermostat and even the fans switch and nothing i know they work because i turn on the ac and they engage normally also even keeping fans on direct all the time when car is running when i drive for about 30 minutes on freeway speeds and then stop at the lights or in traffic still starts to over heat almost to the red what else could it be
  • 2001 honda civic check engine light goes on then turns off? I have a 2001 honda civic with high mileage. I just took it on for an oil change and put summer tires back on. A few days later the check engine light came on and then shut off and then came back on and goes on and off every few days. The car doesn't seem to be driving bad although it does seem to shake a little bit. What could this be?
