Why do honda street racers put spoilers/ wings on their front wheel drive cars?
In Los Angeles i see alot of street racers driving hondas witg huge spoilers on the back… Doesn't that make a front wheel drive slower
A spoiler is supposed to be for better handling. The air being forced over the car while driving fast can make the car "lift" and have poor handling. With the spoiler the air goes over the top of the car and hits the spoiler which pushes the car down to the ground.
IT HOLD THE REAR OF THE CAR ON THE GROUND
It is a hobby for these guys. Just like lifting trucks for some.
It's mostly just cosmetic, not really functional.
- Why do people get mad over the fact that their cars require full synthetic oil? I work as a mechanic and found some people do not like the fact 2010 and up toyotas and Hondas and almost all 2014 cars and European cars require full synthetic oil. A majority of the anger comes towards toyotas and Hondas. Despite me explaining the increased intervals, they still get angered at the fact. Is it just me or does less time doing oil changes that save you more money in the long run end up coming out cheaper despite the increased price and why would they be angry saving money?
- Why is it that some husbands let their wives drive luxury cars while they drive ordinary cars? I've been observing some of my neighbors (one of them is a stay at home mom) and the husbands drive ordinary cars like Honda Accord or Honda Pilot. But the wives tend to drive luxury cars like Acura TSX or Acura RDX (some form of luxury car). What is the reason for this? Why do wives get to drive luxury cars while the husband drives ordinary car? I should say some of them. Its not a problem though but was only curious. The neighbors are Asians actually.
- My car is front wheel drive and the rear shocks are leaking will the car last at least two weeks until I can go to a mechanic? My car is Honda 2010 2dr front wheel drive I went to the mechanic yesterday and he told me that rear shocks (not front) were leaking and that I should replace them now or they can cause an accident the thing is he is charging too much and I can get them fixed for cheaper in the city but I'm in college right now and the soonest I can go is in two weeks will my car last that long or is he just trying to scare me into paying As soon as possible the car ride home is like 3hours as well
- 2010 Honda Civic: Which OEM Spoilers fit? I have a 2010 Honda Civic LX Coupe and want to get an OEM rear wing spoiler. Can anyone confirm whether the 2006-2011 coupe spoiler (including Si models) will fit my car? I'm assuming so, since the body style is the same across that year range.
