My car doesn't have a radio. Will any car radio work for it?
I have a 94 nissan Pathfinder and when i purchased it, it didn't have a radio. My girlfriend has a junk 98 honda civic and the radio in it still works. Will it work inside of my car? It's the stock radio.
Added (1). Be gentle i don't know anything about cars
If they are the same size you can switch them. They should both be DIN 1. But you'll need to cut the wiring harness on both cars and look online for the radio wiring. Some colors will be the same. But if you don't want to cut any wires you can buy a new radio and wring adapter for the pathfinder. The adapter will plug into the Nissans harness.
Most aftermarket stereos are universal and will work in any car. I'm not sure about the stock Honda stereo, but it will definitely work if it fits in the stereo slot. If you install a smaller stereo in a larger slot, you'll nee to buy spacers to fill the gap. A larger stereo will not work in a smaller slot… Obviously. The wires in the back of the stereo can be connected with wire nuts or a 94 Nissan 'stereo wire harness'(from Amazon or Best Buy).
- Why doesn't my honda civic speed needle work? So when I'm driving I can't tell what speed I'm going the needle works when it wants to. I replaced the speed sensor and it still doesn't work. Might I need a cluster?
- Is there any car that doesn't get horrible gas milage during accelaration? I Currently drive a 2013 Honda Civic which has a meter in the dashboard that reads from 0-70 MPG with a 35 mark in the middle but it usually goes to 70 when i let off the gas then if i press the gas down even like insanely lightly. It goes to 15 mpg and its hard to tell what its at because it changes so much. So please help if you have any good input on the situation
- Car doesn't get any power? I have a 1991 Honda civic wagon, I had a bad battery, I tried to charge it but it only had enough power to turn on the lights and dash, the lights were dim though… So I decided to change the battery but I connected the wiring terminals so now the car doesn't start
- Why doesn't my car key work anymore? Ok this may sound very odd but my spare Honda Accord 2012 key got left in a pot and put into a pottery kiln and baked at a couple thousand degrees. It still goes into the ignition and turns on my car and engine but then the engine turns off, why does this happen and how do I get this fixed for generally cheap
