My car shakes when I put on my breaks?

I have a 2005 Honda civic and when I go after I'm going at a decent speed and go to put on my breaks my car shakes! Especially the sterring wheel! I'm hoping it is just a rotor or something! What do y'all think?

It's an easy fix. Rotors develop "hot spots" after they're worn a bit. Just replace them. Go on line and get them. They're cheap. You may have a tough time removing the philips screw, but it's not really necessary anyway. It will come out if you have the right tools.

Most likely it is the front rotors are warped…

  • My breaks pedal goes all the way down? I just changed the master cylinder and break booster on my 1997 Honda Del sol. The breaks still sink all the way down. I still have yet to bleed them. But how big of a difference will bleeding the air out of the system do the my sinking break pedal. Or is there another reason my break pedal would be doing this? Keep in mind I haven't bleed them yet. Any help would greatly be appricated.
  • How to break in new front rotors and front breaks on a sport bike? The bike is a 2004 Honda cbr 600 f4i to be exact. I got stock rotors and brakes. I just need to know how to wear them in properly so I don't get warping or anthing.
  • How many years will a new car last before it breaks down often? If you buy a brand new car and keep up with maintenance, how many years can you expect to get before it begins breaking down often, requiring frequent and/or expensive repairs? 5, 10, 15, 20? I know this can vary depending on the model, but let's assume a Honda or equivalent Japanese car.
  • Steering Wheel Shakes Stops Shakes At High Speed? I Have a 2004 Honda CRV i bought brand new tires for and they drove perfectly fine and smooth later that night i got a puncture and a flat tire which i fixed with a plug kit with no leaks the next day when i sped up to 65 miles an hour the steering wheel will shake a little for half a second then stop for a second then shake again over and over the faster i go over 65 the shake stop gets faster and under 65 it drives smooth as glass Is this a major concern?
