My car was smashed and the driver left?

I'm beyond upset, my car was just hit in front of my apartment complex. This would be the second time, this time I'm not so lucky the driver took off my boyfriend tried to chase after him in his car but he is gone. I hate my life right now. My car is done. Now there's no insurance to pay for it. I have liability anyway. It's a 2007 Honda Civic coupe paid 11,000 for it cash 2 years ago. What can I do now?

If insurance can't help then you're pretty much going to have to pay out of pocket or look for a loan to repair your vehicle.

Call the police immediately. If you or anyone saw the crash the police may be able to find the guy. I've seen it happen.

File a police report. Get some funds and get the car fixed. Nobody said life was easy.

Presumably there's damage to the other car, and maybe some of your paint. With the paint that was left on your car, from his, the police should be able to narrow it down as well as alert body shops. If he does not fix it, he will be obvious and if he takes it to be fixed, he could get caught

Call the Police with all details.
Do you have uninsured accident cover?
Sorry but this is a risk with liability only cover.

Call the police, report the crime.
Use the money you've saved by only having liability insurance to replace the car.
That is the gamble you take when you choose Liability only, obviously you could afford to lose 11grand.

You can report this to the police and hope that they find the culprit. You can also kick yourself for buying only liability coverage. You can consider buying collision and comprehensive insurance on any car that you have in the future to protect yourself against just such a loss.

When you purchased your insurance policy for your Honda you had a wide choice of coverage you could choose from. You decided to obtain liability coverage only, that was your choice. Because of your choice you did not allow coverage to happen if you found yourself in the situation you are currently in. You will have to deal with the consequences accordingly.

It's a bit of metal. If you're uninjured that's a plus. If you didn't have insurance then you understood the risk. But it's not a big deal.
