My honda civic 04 automatic makes a rattle like sound when I turn the key off?
I noticed that when i turn the key to the off position some where under my streering wheel I can here a little rattle like sound. It last about 1- 2 seconds
(i hear the usual normal cooling down sound the engine makes after I turn it off. So I don't think its the engine cooling down )
Any ideas what it could be?
It may be the engine "dieseling" (running with ignition from heat and compression rather than spark) for a couple seconds before the fuel cutoff kills it. Not a huge deal but may be cured by timing adjustment or other tuneup-type tinkering. Might also respond to a higher grade of gas.
- Test light on positive lead on starter relay comes on when the motorcycle is off, when bike key is turn on, test light is off? Does this mean starter relay is bad? I'm trying to diagnose my electrical problem on a honda cbr f4. The lights turned on but when I tried to start bike all power shut off and now nothing powers on.
- Will starter from an automatic 2000 Honda civic LX fit on a automatic 2000 Honda civic HX? The lx is a 5 gear transmission and the hx is a CVT transmission. With the starter fit? Mine went out on my hx
- I have a 2008 Honda Accord ex-l and when I turn the key to start the engine it takes 4-6 turn overs? Is it normal to have it turn over that much? I used to have a 1991 Honda Accord lx that was all beat up and I never had to hold the key in place. All I had to do was turn the key and bam engine start. With the car that I have now I have to wait a few seconds for it to go. Just wondering if that's perfectly fine.
- Car radio won't turn off after the ignition is off and key pulled out? I have a 2008 Honda Accord and just recntly realized that the car radio stays on after the car is completely off. I turned the radio off manually but the led display still stays on. It has the factory radio. I also just got a new battery 2 days ago. Help please, what could it be and how do I fix it?
